Mike Malloy - Obama Compares Bernie Sanders To George W. Bush

Even before Hillary Clinton surprisingly swept all five Democratic primaries on Tuesday, President Obama was privately calling on Democrats to quickly rally behind her candidacy.

At a high-dollar fundraiser in Austin, Texas, last week, President Obama told Democratic donors he believes Bernie Sanders no longer maintains a viable path to the nomination and suggested that it was time for the party to come together around a Clinton candidacy instead, according to a new report from the New York Times.

"White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest on Thursday pushed back on a New York Times report that said President Barack Obama privately told Democratic donors the party should begin to coalesce behind Hillary Clinton. Earnest told reporters that Obama "did not indicate or specify a preference in the race."

By the way, don't you owe us about a zillion links?

Maybe you should try reading them. Oh never mind, ya'll don't need my type of research or so I've been told.

As if I'd trust anyone promoting the TPP. The giant lie.

8. Obama Privately Tells Donors That Time Is Coming to Unite Behind Hillary Clinton
Sun Mar 20, 2016, 02:17 PM
Mar 2016
In unusually candid remarks, President Obama privately told a group of Democratic donors last Friday that Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont was nearing the point at which his campaign against Hillary Clinton would end, and that the party must soon come together to back her.

Mr. Obama acknowledged that Mrs. Clinton was perceived to have weaknesses as a candidate, and that some Democrats did not view her as authentic.

But he played down the importance of authenticity, noting that President George W. Bush — whose record he ran aggressively against in 2008 — was once praised for his authenticity.

Mr. Obama made the remarks after reporters had left a fund-raising event in Austin, Tex., for the Democratic National Committee. The comments were described by three people in the room for the event, all of whom were granted anonymity to describe a candid moment with the president. The comments were later confirmed by a White House official.

You missed my link above where the White House said the NYTimes article was a crock of shit in error.

The Times has lost all credibility this election cycle.

Hillary's campaign staff is like G.W's in that Right Wing Attack Dogs like David "Doberman" Brock,John Podesta and Robby Mook are right out of the Karl Rove mold and also follow Dick Cheney's lie/cheat/attack antics too.Even Bill has taken on the Rove attack strategies.....but then Bill is still campaigning like its the 90's and he is trying for his 3rd term.

Bernie Sanders has always talked about issue's while Hillary cant but instead sends her attack Dogs out to the Corporate Networks to lie, attack and lie and attack and never called on those lies because well the Networks are Hillary friendly.

A sitting President meddling in the selection of a new Presidential candidate is not a good thing.
Mr. Obama should not have anything to say other than he wishes them well in their efforts.
I've defended Obama on many accounts, but on this he is Out of Order.

We already knew that about Hillary, but it makes sense for PBO too, sense he ran to the left, but ended up governing like a moderate, on all but social issues - and even some of those... remember single-payer? Yeah, Neither does he.

intentions. He confessed that he was really a New Democrat. It is time for Sanders to start talking about how this country has gone way too far Right, so far Right, that now New Democrats can lie to their constituents just like Republicans and Faux media.

Wonder how much that drama raised for the New Democratic Party? Seems like the majority of this country will stay with progressive democracy. Extremists need to exit and follow each other off the Right cliff.
