Jayme saved herself. It sounds like she was kept in a seasonal area that was almost dead in the Winter. She was apparently left alone so she took the opportunity, escaped, went up to a person walking a dog and asked for help. That person took her to a neighbour nearby and they called the police.

So she wasn't "found" by others, she rescued herself and then got help from ordinary people who live near where she was held captive.

Yes, although from what I've read so far the police never even looked in the area, an hour away from her home where she was abducted from, credit should certainly still be given to those who have helped look for her (even though 'they' didn't find her, they tried) and yes, it's time to celebrate because she's alive and now going to be reunited with her surviving family members but these men patting each other on the back and taking credit for HER rescuing HERSELF grates on my nerves a bit.

EVERYONE IN WISCONSIN knows who Jayme Closs is, what she looks like, and that her parents were murdered. The woman walking the dog and the couple whose home she went to knew who she was and that she was missing. That meant Jayme could walk up to anyone and they would call the police immediately.
