(5,106 posts)I have absolutely no sympathy for these people. It's hard not to be happy these people are suffering (not so much their kids). They're still "Deplorables" in attitude.

I also think the reporter should ask them if they have researched about the wall, have they read enough to still think the USA needs a wall? Ignorance doesn't pay.

(5,106 posts)As a English teacher and reading specialist, I know it's an uphill battle. Even worse is the antipathy toward critical thinking by many parents who find it threatening. There are a hopeful amount of kids (and open minded adults) who remain open enough to make you weep with relief. Rupert Murdoch and company should be tarred, feathered and run out of the country. I understand, from a Canadian relative, that Fox news is not encouraged there
