Seth takes a closer look at Trump's speech about the government shutdown and the deal he offered that both Democrats and hard- line conservatives have rejected.

Every one of the teevee anybodies has to do this relentlessly from now on until he is removed from office.

And the late night guys can get away with pushing the envelope to make a point in a way that the news pundits can't - because they do it with humor, people expect it.

better than dry news for some. And being "not" news, they can go where the news can't, but I'm glad they are supposed to be mutually exclusive in a sense. The bad thing is that it's become hard to tell anymore.

It's less expected. Not everybody gets cable, and if they do, they have their favorites - those they tend to agree with. But I obviously notice that Colbert, Seth Meyers and now Jimmy Kimmel tend to skewer Trump every single night in a way that would cause offense among some people coming from Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell or Joy Reid...

Seth does such a great job making Trump look like the idiot that he is and he does it in such an entertaining, humorous way.
