It's frustrating to see such flawed reasoning, as if the news media think good journalism means an even balance between good and evil.

Remind them that the shutdown started on December 22, while the GOP still controlled both chambers of Congress. Remind them that Pelosi has put forth the very same funding legislation that passed in the Senate back in December. Remind them that for two years while the GOP controlled both the House & the Senate, the only emergency was getting the 1% their precious tax cuts. Only when the dems took control of the House did Trump's slush-fund wall become an emergency.

The longer the shutdown goes on, the more people will start to fall for the changing narrative that both sides are equally to blame. I've seen it already on FB with friends who are liberal, but still falling for it. Remind these people of the facts. This is totally on Trump & Moscow Mitch.

I think you should start a thread with this. Use bullet points because it penetrates the Cerebrum in an orderly fashion. The information can be remembered more easily.

Thanks again! We need to be reminded of this again and again because the Right is so good at throwing emotionally based discord into any attempts at rational thinking.

Calls for pinocchio's resignation. Allowing anything like this to destroy people's lives over a wall the overwhelming majority are against needs to have consequences. The American people needs to show him and the gop who really has the power in this country.

she was suddenly interrupted by Tim Kaine. She was reporting from a place where people were in line getting food because they were affected by the shutdown. She was in mid-sentence when Kaine came along and told her she was misrepresenting what was going on several points, that trump was responsible for all the mayhem. He didn't use the word, mayhem, he itemized the disorder that trump was causing---that it was his fault, not the Democrats. I thought it was a terrific thing he did. I hope to see more of the same.
