This song immediately conjures up the winter night when i was a kid and we went to the wake of a neighbor's teen-aged daughter, who died suddenly. I remember the shock of seeing a stunningly beautiful young woman dead in a coffin. No explanation was forthcoming as to why she died, and questions were dismissed pretty well out-of-hand. many years later I realized it was most likely from a botched abortion.

This song was playing in the car as we drove home, I can still even feel the cold of the Chicago winter. Music and memory are not always particularly pleasant, but this one was very profound and stuck with me.
