That idea was abolished after much bloodshed and grief , but the very laws written to establish equal protection for all people under the law were twisted to create an institution almost as reprehensible as slavery. Corporate personhood in the reverse established property as people with rights that go far beyond those enjoyed by flesh and blood persons. It is time we stand up and declare that corporations are not people; corporations are property. Money is not speech; money is property. Property is not free.
