right-wing fundamentalist intentionally distorting Obama's words to make him appear anti-Christian

When he was in fact giving a talk on how his Christian faith played an important role in his public life.

In 2006 then Sen. Barack Obama was a keynote speaker at a conference of progressive leaning Evangelical Christians

This is a video taking a few comments from his keynote address and then creating a video they titled:

Obama Mocks & Attacks Jesus Christ And The Bible / Obama Is Not A Christian

This is the actual keynote address then Sen. Obama actually delivered:

Could anyone have tried harder to give the impression of someone saying something the opposite of what they were actually saying?

After I picked my jaw up off the floor upon hearing that she was an evangelical working for Obama, I asked her how she squared all her values. She did believe abortion is a sin, she explained, but when you put it all together, the Democrats were closer than the Republicans to where she thought God wanted us to be.

is most definitely left-leaning on economics and foreign policy issues - in fact way to the left of the official Democratic Party. Still they are are most definitely Evangelical - and conservative in their theology:

7. I just had an online argument with a Republican on this...

I recently entered into a debate with a Republican on an online news forum regarding this very video (I know, they have nothing of substance to discuss). This loyal Republican was a housewife who insisted Obama had admitted being a Muslim, and she posted a link to this video which she said "proved" it.

Of course the video turned out to be a hoax; it's an edited, chopped-up compilation of different quotes and this lady was so dishonest that she actually posted the link to the video itself NOT the page with comments, since the comments pointed out the video was a fraud. In other words, she went out of her way to hide any uncomfortable details that might impugn the veracity of the video. I exposed the video and called her a liar, and she refused to own up to it, complaining I was attacking her for "standing up for her beliefs."

Another Republican began insisting I was "bullying" her, and literally told me that the facts were less important than my "demeanor" as if it was entirely inappropriate for me to call out a liar. This is what the Republican Party means to me - people who will say ANYTHING regardless of the facts, who will engage in ANY sneaky maneuver including posting BS, and who will run from the truth while crying they're being picked on by meanies when the truth is shined upon their fabrications.

The end result of my debate with this delusional woman was that she became even more firmly enmeshed in her falsehoods, and I'm sure is out there breathlessly telling someone that "Obama admitted he's a Muslim! It's really really really true!" as I write this. These people are scary. They are really really scary, and completely shameless. They do NOT care about reality. If they even attempt to address their lies, they merely insist that Democrats lie all the time, so Republicans should be allowed to do so too, apparently. It's especially sickening to see them give Romney and Ryan a free pass on lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie after lie while they continue to bellow and scream that it's Obama, Clinton, Biden, etc. who are the liars (never with concrete examples or actual facts, of course).

I really have no other word for people that support this kind of behavior other than "turds." These people are turds, plain and simple, and it's impossible for me to feel an ounce of compassion or empathy for them. They're turds, and they go out of their way to be turds.

Hence the power of propaganda. Although I disagree that Casablanca is.

I got two the Commie's are coming blind fools in the house. Dad obviously and http://agendadocumentary.com/ doesn't help much. and my brother was taken in after Howard Dean for whatever reason.. and totally believes the commies are coming. Sometimes I wonder if thats the reason he flunked out of being a teacher at UNI. Claimed all teaching institutions are liberal biased. thats where it started. Hey if free thinking is liberal biased. Cant change that. If I wanna go to North Korea and do that fine.

Of course they have to push the anti christian thing in overdrive because most Christian based religions don't consider Mormonism Christian as someone gets in the way of Jesus. There is no one after Jesus. Hence the word christ is based on that name. Rick Perry knew it, Sarah Palin knew it. So they have to resort to crap like this. So they can fool the Religious Right. I figure if the so called Anti Christ ever came ... it certainly wouldn't be from the left. Because it would have to be someone that would convince others on both sides somehow. The Lutherans have it the Pope will be it. I have no idea.

using these words to trick gullible people into believing that Obama was extremely anti-Christian. The actual video of his address to this group of Evangelical Christians in which he even talks openly about having come forward at an alter call to accept Jesus Christ as his Savior at a church service in Chicago- the actual video of his talk has only 4,069 as of now.
