As a white person, one of the things I worry about on a daily basis is getting killed by a police officer—NOT. People, all people, need to hear these stories.

I identified with her nervousness as a new driver, I remember starting to panic when I was just in traffic - and I'm still a nervous wreck the few times I've been stopped. Some have been nice, some have been stern, but I never had to fear for my life - I agree, and I'm also glad that she spoke out. Everyone needs to understand the trauma of just driving-while-black.

Got my own story of being a college kid stopped and searched for drugs with no explanation, no apology, and no reason.
