Heavy Criticism For Trump's Hazy Idea To Use Military On US Soil - Rachel Maddow - MSNBC

Rachel Maddow looks at the lack of clarity on how Donald Trump intends to assert his idea of using the U.S. military against Americans protesting police violence, and how even entertaining the idea has brought fierce criticism on Trump's administration. Aired on 6/2/2020.

There are far too many ties to the worst and most corrupt parts of the GOP that are NC based, especially the Trump admin.

My grandmother moved to a retirement community in Black Mountain, near Asheville and I spent time there so got to know her friends. Granted, many of them were also transplants, but the community itself was pretty diverse and was populated by a lot of artists and musicians. And the popular mayor was an elderly black lady.

I'd be more critical of SC, given their representation. They repeatedly elected Strom Thurmond and Jim DeMint and they still have Lindsey Graham and the infamous Joe "You Lie!" Wilson.

gives you a false idea of what the rest of the state is like. The rest of the state is definitely NOT liberal or even close to moderate. It's ultra conservative. But, yet, people keep telling me how wonderful the Raleigh, Asheville, and Charlotte areas. I wouldn't disagree that those areas are much nicer than the rest, but it's not like I could afford to move to those much nicer places. What I wouldn't give to be able to afford to move to Asheville.

Go a little further into western NC and you'll see the biggest concentration of right wing hate groups imaginable. These were people who wrote a folk song praising Eric Rudolph and offered to hide him out from the FBI. Even churches there were offering asylum to him then. Definitely not something liberals would do for a man that just murdered a security guard and maimed a nurse for life, especially not for the reasons he did. Good grief, he followed the hate group's extremists ideology.

The Republican Party of NC is still corrupt beyond words. They will even outright steal votes here and get away with it. They did, actually. They got to pick a new candidate to run after doing that. Gerrymandering. The whole 9 yards. And never forget the decades of Jesse Helms. Now, Burr, Hayes, Tillis, Erik Prince, and many other Republicans from NC are helping Trump now. It's always the outright open non secret that nobody can manage to let themselves see.

as a youth in the 60s, Trump - who so vocally opposes using our military around the world - now wants to deploy these same military forces against our own citizens here at home. Trump is what we used to call a 'tin-pot dictator'.

tin-pot dictator (Noun) An autocratic ruler with little political credibility, but with self-delusions of grandeur. Origin: From tin-pot, a cheap metal disposable container, and dictator.

My heart will soar like an eagle when this little, cowardly, egotistical, abhorrent, ugly, moronic madman is unceremoniously evicted from the White House next January. November 3, 2020 Trump will be served his eviction notice. I will be in Washington the day Trump is evicted from the White House. I will not miss that wonderful, glorious day for our country!
