On January 20, the Secret Service will haul him out if he doesn't leave voluntarily. Their allegiance changes immediately to the new prez.

Why do people keep getting their bowels in an uproar over this?

Because if he claims his eviction from the White House was illegitimate, he has about 30% of the population who can pose a danger to the rest of us.

Once he's dragged from the building, most of that 30% will deny they ever supported him

Remember when so many though Bush's win over Gore was illegitimate?

Now, what if, instead of gracefully conceding, Gore had said, "darn right it was illegitimate" and had implored his supporters to take to the streets in protest. Now, imagine them being Trump supporters, i.e. crowds full of gun-toting racists. You don't see how that could easily get ugly? And remember that between election day and inauguration day, Trump has the federal power on HIS side. So even something like Biden sending in the National Guard isn't an option. But even after Biden is sworn in, it could be a dangerous time, if Trump riles up his base instead of calming them.

He will attempt to tie it up in the courts. He may be able to get it down to a Supreme Court decision. If so, we had better all fucking protect RBG with everything we have. It could ultimately come down to her. If we lose her - he could well prevail.

Think about it-

1. He loses the vote biggly.

2. He claims voter fraud and ties it up in court cases across the country.

3. The cases get to the Supreme court - presumably rushed because the Electoral College must meet.

4. RBG is incapacitated.

5. ....

Sorry, but sometimes it helps to game out nightmare senarios.

4. He'll leave, spewing crud, but he'll leave. Besides, worry about that after trumping him at polls.

People who are thinking in standard models like, 'we will have a fair election and all will accept the result', are fools. We have experienced a level of republican, white house crazy that few were anticipating after the 2016 election. Kidnapping brown skinned children at the border, federal troops beating citizens in Portland, endorsing nazis as 'good people', ignoring and botching a national health crisis, and open corruption with Russia. Each year and month was crazier then the last. It's only August. Just wait and see what's coming.
