(205,040 posts)Which wasn't easy, since Trump kept addressing questions they'd already moved past and was all over the place, no big surprise. But I'd watched him interview Kushner and was impressed, so I figured he'd also get the better of Trump.

(5,447 posts)and BTW....
As a fat guy myself, it IS NOT a cheap shot when the fatso in question CLAIMS he is 239 pounds when I DAMN WELL KNOW he's 300#s
PLUS if he's a fucking ounce.
I'm 6' 2" and 305 and I have a better physic than him. Trust me, if you're going to lie about your weight, you make it 10 or 20 pounds, not 100.
You get a pass, Captain. No questions asked.

(5,477 posts)By 15 minutes in you could tell he was feeling the pressure and starting to dissemble. The more they let him talk, the worse it became for him.
He's totally off the rails. This interview needs to go viral.
If this doesn't show up in training films for medical professionals in the future I'd be very surprised.

(205,040 posts)Yes, he asked tough questions, but Trump couldn't seem to keep up with the topic at hand, he was all over the place...

(5,477 posts)tRump would hear a word or two in the setup for the question and run way off into the boonies with a wandering "train-of-what-passes-for-thought" amble through the English language. Swan would sometimes be able to reel him in a bit, and ask the original question...which would set tRump off on another wild ride through partial sentences on subjects tangentially related to what was asked.
This was a total shitshow of an interview for tRumpie...and an rather entertaining preview of what we can expect in the debates!
His mind has turned into rancid oatmeal. His grasp of basic concepts (i.e. per-capita deaths per population figures) is totally lacking, and at times he acts like he's almost to the point of just sitting in the corner, drooling in his shoes.

(205,040 posts)And he's the one inexplicably pushing for more of them! I watched the ones in 2016 and they were absolutely cringe worthy, his skulking around the stage while Hillary was speaking, I have no idea how she held it together!
And he has deteriorated so noticeably since then, he couldn't even manage to keep up with what were pretty straightforward questions - but then he's so used to lying that he couldn't even remember them all - and then a part of one of them would come to him and he just had to blurt it out!
I agree, his concentration is shot and he can't keep his mind from running away from him! And yet there are still people in this country that still support him??!

(1,622 posts)Good news: we have determined that the current president was clearly an uninformed idiot when he was elected.
Bad news: his knowledge and intelligence have only gotten worse.
TLDR; VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS EVERYWHERE AND FOR EVERYONE!

(205,040 posts)But the more insane thing is that there are actually people in this country that are okay with this.

(1,622 posts)What was that bullshit about science and then something happens? Does he think that science is magic?
I want to see the full closeup of Swans face throughout the full interview. He was a fortress of patience. Impressive.

(31,153 posts)Interesting that during the credits the producers chose to include portraits of past presidents, as if they were privy to the interview and mocking in disdain. Even Nixon. I'd take Nixon over Trump, of course -- any day.

(6,622 posts)Jonathan Swan did a superb job, considering he was up against a dotard in diapers who felt comfortable revealing his loathsome psychoses. November 3 can't come soon enough!

(205,040 posts)I rarely can stand to watch Trump, but I saw Jonathan Swan's interview with Jared Kushner and so I knew he'd hit Trump with the same tough questions - while coming off as affable and non-threatening, so they'd feel obliged to answer. And I wasn't disappointed! He really is a national treasure!

That also let's me grab snippets to ridicule.
Kudos to Jonathon Swan!
---- Had to stop and cleanse my ears.
He is nothing other than a blabbering bag-o-words. He doesn't listen, and if he hears he doesn't comprehend.
Still needs daddy's money - just a different controlling dada.

(2,992 posts)Gish, to his credit, actually put big words in his sentences, most of which had a subject, verb, and predicate that were together at least somewhat coherent. And his claims were of the type that actually could have made a point except for the ignored details. Trump tried to do it with pieces of paper.
