(1,331 posts)I don't have a favorite condiment (unless you count salt and pepper) but my husband lives and breathes by ketchup and peanut butter. Oh, from Michigan here.

(6,369 posts)Bertolli Alfredo With Aged Parmesan Cheese Sauce is not the "favorite condiment" of the state and most people have probably never heard of it.

(4,516 posts)are on the table, there is catsup, mustard and a couple brands of hot sauce.
Dr Hobbitstein
(6,568 posts)Its the most popular brand of Sriracha in the US.
With that said, I live in FL, and have for most of my life and Ive never seen Frenchs Crispy Jalepenos even at a grocery, let alone as a condiment in a restaurant. But you will find Huy Fong Sriracha on almost every restaurant (thats not a chain) table in FL. Methinks this list is highly inaccurate.

(10,050 posts)but what I really love is Louisiana Hot Sauce!

(14,615 posts)I find it hard to believe that Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Barbecue Sauce is the favorite in my state.
Folks in Louisiana put Tabasco sauce on everything.

(24,259 posts)Merriam-Webster defines Condiment as, "something used to enhance the flavor of food especially : a pungent seasoning."
Around here those are part of a snack or meal. Heck, just hand over the jar and a spoon and we're good.

(50,453 posts)1) Nutella and peanut butter are not "condiments."
2) Coconut oil is DEFINITELY not a "condiment."
3) The top condiment in Idaho and Utah is "fry sauce" which is half ketchup and half mayonnaise.
4) Does "Louisiana hot sauce" ring a bell?
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,280 posts)I've never used it in my life for anything, and I don't know of anyone who has. And it's not even a condiment.
LakeSuperiorView
(1,533 posts)It definitely would not be in the aisle with ketchup, mustard, relishes, steak sauces, tartar sauce, Worcestershire sauce, etc. If one could find it, it would be with the cooking oils is my guess...
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,280 posts)along with the corn, canola and peanut oils. It certainly isn't a condiment, and I don't know anyone who cooks with it.
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,280 posts)There were only a few bottles and they were very expensive. I don't think it's a big seller.

(36,217 posts)Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise is not even sold in Nevada. Best Foods Real Mayonnaise is what you will find in the markets.
smirkymonkey
(63,221 posts)the number one condiment. I never tried it until I went to Europe. It's ok, but far from a favorite. I like brown and spicy mustards - dijon, horseradish, any kind of mustard except honey mustard. I also love malt vinegar on my fish and chips.

A question asked almost every time you order something in a restaurant is "Red or green?" And the answer (usually "Christmas" has nothing to do with garlic salt.

(2,214 posts)I literally keep a bottle in my desk at work and one at home. I put that stuff on EVERYTHING! It's addicting and omg delicious!

(36,217 posts)There have been smell issues and lawsuits. It appears they mostly have a handle on the issue and will not move to Texas as threatened.

(7,380 posts)Crystal hot sauce included in a brown paper bag. Park out on the causeway and watch the ships come in and sip a few cold Buds. Maybe fish or bait cast. There may or may not have been some herbal enhancements involved. 60's - 70's.

(2,138 posts)to slather on some coconut oil, or Wishbone salad dressing?
Sausage gravy is a better condiment. And maybe eggs
