At one herding trial, the sheep figured out that they were faster than the corgis. Corgis are bred to herd cattle and are in trouble when the sheep figure out they could out run the corgis
If you get a chance, go to a herding trial. It is amazing watching these dogs do what they bred to do

(36,827 posts)Ive owned 4 border collies and 1 Aussie over the years. The border collie I currently have comes from working dog stock and has the strongest herding instinct of any of the others.
