On January 30, 2013, a bald eagle slammed into the water, in front of our home on Okanagan Lake, Kelowna, BC Canada. He had caught a coot for lunch. After a couple of tries to takeoff (fly) he was unable to and decided to "swim" to shore. The eagle made it to shore, started to have lunch, then an immature eagle showed up to ruin his day and take his lunch! All of that hard swimming to have his lunch taken away......Not good for people with weak stomach or small children......

be able to watch them out at the lake, there were three nests in the area so I got to see and photograph a lot of activity. This is pretty cool.

that enables diving birds to swim or float. That's kind of amazing.
