(2,585 posts)I'm working on trying to gather signatures for a Save the Whales campaign to try to influence the government of Mexico to totally ban gillnets to save the vaquita. We went to make copies at Office Depot.

We asked a couple of employees at Office Depot to sign and they could not have cared less. Hard lesson for a 10 and 7 year old to see, and the guys looked like complete jerks.

(17,235 posts)It appears that roughly half the population cares about the environments, all other species and living creatures and their fellow man while the other 50% doesn't care about anything but themselves and their greed.. I am afraid this is the way that it has always been and always will be.

(32,356 posts)If the pups were only a few days old, maybe the mother somehow got stuck in the dumpster and gave birth. Maybe the mother wouldn't have been able to get the puppies out of the dumpster, while she went to search for food and water. Usually the mother won't leave the babies for the first few days, but eventually she has to. So the guy who found them did the right thing, but there's no indication they were put in there on purpose. The pups are cute little guys and I'm glad they'll be OK.

(6,810 posts)There was no momma in there, nor was she around. No, this was straight-up kittens-in-a-burlap-sack-thrown-off-a-bridge intentional.
