Shopping success in time of COVID-19...

Guess what I scored today? 2-pack of 32oz bottles of 91% isopropyl alcohol X2 (one for me and one pack for my sister). Two days ago I scored two bottles of long sold-out hand sanitizer at Walgreens too.

I'm as excited (about the rubbing alcohol)--after checking multiple websites every darned day for the past 4 1/2 weeks-- as I once was to score tickets to a sold-out performance. Yes, really...

So, what have you found lately?

Ahhh, life in the "age of cholera" (err COVID-19)

I'm glad I found a big bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol waaaaay back on a bottom shelf two weeks ago. I haven't seen any since. I hope I find more before I have to switch to hydrogen peroxide.

and today I found a ten-pound bag of King Arthur's all-purpose sitting alone on a shelf at the grocery store. At the checkout, the clerk said that it wasn't scanning, and I offered her $5.99 but by then she'd already called the manager (the clerk would've taken the $5.99) and the manager said it was a mistake, that it wasn't supposed to be there, and I said I'd offered six bucks, and she said it's going to be eight and I said Sold! But I should have offered seven.

I didn't buy any, as I actually was already stocked up before COVID hit.

But, it's nice to see that it's available again...

(Last week, I got lousy substitutes in my curbside order and was hungry)

I bought two small bottles of Soft Soap Milk and Honey for the bathroom sinks. I could not find it online (Some things they just don't sell online) They had plenty of hand sanitizer, plenty of paper towels and TP. I did not go down the cleaning aisle though.

Office Depot was selling 50 packs of blue masks for $36.

Just about everyone was wearing masks.
