Something creepy crawly just bit my leg!

I have no idea what it was because I'm in bed and the lights were out, but when I swatted my leg, it felt squiggly ewwwwwwwwwww!!! And, there's welt!

I tore the bed apart but didn't find anything. I even checked around the floor, with a flashlight. I'm hoping it was a biting ant and not a SPIDER!!!

Ok, I'm done freaking out. Except that part about hoping it wasn't a spider. Maybe I'll sleep in the den, tonight. Or, just sit there with a can of raid.

2. That happened to me the other day, but it was a June bug.

I was sitting on my porch reading, and I felt something crawling on my foot and I looked to see what it was and it was a June bug the size of a squirrel, and I screeched and flailed. I'm not really afraid of bugs but June bugs are so huge you can't squash them, you have to shoot them. They actually seem to weigh something. I'd rather have spiders.

3. It's a scientific fact that spiders have slathering jaws of death. I'm sure I read it, somewhere

I'm deeply, close to pathologically arachnophobic. I have been, all my life. I keep telling myself that as effective as a blow torch would be to remove one from my house, it's just not practical.

A few years ago I was bitten on the back of the thigh. Thank gawd I didn’t see or notice the spider biting me, just had a huge, raised, hot red patch on the back of my leg the next morning. It was huge! Like, the entire back of my thigh. The worst part was trying to research online what may have bitten me. Everyone insists on showing pictures of damn spiders along with their bite info. Ugh. I’m so arachnophobic, I cannot even look at photos.

Good luck with your vigil. I am with you and spirit and watching your back (and legs).

And in spring, they'd see palmetto bugs.

Cockroaches the size of your hand that can fly.

My Mom hated those damn things.

Stephen King couldn’t come up with a creepier insect. Personally, I hate them.

Woke up one night around 2 am and felt something on my arm not moving, but there was pressure. Went to scratch and ended up grabbing a big old palmetto bug. In my haze, I did not have a good grip and it scurried out of my hand and up my arm and ended up flying somewhere in the room.

Still gives me shivers.

Spiders, usually--yep, got bit a few times, usually on or around my ear. Last week it was a miller moth on the side of my face, but at least those don't bite, just an annoyance. But no matter what, reaching up and feeling those scratchy squirmy bug legs in the dark...ugh...

I couldn't use my hand for 3 days.

I think it was a spider.

My hand and fingers were swollen.

The top of my hand felt like it was bruised.

My hand was emitting intense heat.

I applied ice but it did not help.

To top things off I hurt my back trying to close a window.

My hand is well but my back isn't.
