I really believe in the concept of local and "slow" food.
In my daily travels yesterday, I had the opportunity to stop by a new business not too far from home, a specialty Charcuterie. Really cool fun little place, uses only Michigan grown meats, and had some very unique flavored sausages. one example, chicken bratwurst with dried Michigan tart cherries.
Needless to say, I left there with a bag of different products to try.

(285 posts)The farmers markets are just amazing, the restaurant scene gets better all the time. I try to spend my cash in the neighborhood, wherever possible, and always BUY AMERICAN MADE!
