Local Food.

I really believe in the concept of local and "slow" food.

In my daily travels yesterday, I had the opportunity to stop by a new business not too far from home, a specialty Charcuterie. Really cool fun little place, uses only Michigan grown meats, and had some very unique flavored sausages. one example, chicken bratwurst with dried Michigan tart cherries.

Needless to say, I left there with a bag of different products to try.

Buying locally produced food is good all the way around - supports local economy, environmentally friendly, etc.

The farmers markets are just amazing, the restaurant scene gets better all the time. I try to spend my cash in the neighborhood, wherever possible, and always BUY AMERICAN MADE!

There's a real push here in the Twin Cities for local food in restaurants. I love it!
