X-Troop - the real "Inglorious Basterds"

The group known as the No. 10 Commando during World War II was a British army assemblage of separate all-volunteer commando units, each with up to approximately 200 men. There were separate commando units made up of Poles, Dutch, French and others. One of the most interesting was one known as X-Troop made up almost entirely of German and Austrian Jews who had fled the Nazis. At least one of the soldiers was a German Jew who had escaped from Dachau. The No. 10 Commando fought in many places throughout the war and they were a part of D-Day, storming Sword Beach.
