He lived in Bridgeport, just around the block from the old Mayor Daly.

After a couple of drinks, grandpa and the dog would head home. Grandpa usually ended upon his butt on the curb just outside the tavern. It was the dog that pulled him up and led him home, just a few doors away. It was a well-known story in my family.
