I ESCAPED!!!! DON'T PAY THE RANSOM!!!

.
.
.
Sorry all (especially Kali)!!! I've been REALLY low on energy and EASILY and EXTREMELY short-of-breath
for close to a week now. I was worried that I'd have to go back to the hospital, but I just increased the
dosage of my diuretic (water pill) and tinkled out half the fucking Mississippi River over the last day or two.
.
Worked!!! I still feel tired, but I walked up to the library just now and was able to walk farther than I have
for quite a while now -- plus it only took me a second push to complete the whole trip (it's been taking
another 3 or more).
.
I've gotta getta phucking phone, that's for sure. I can afford it -- it's just that EVERYTHING for awhile
now has been about conservation of energy -- and a sidetrip for a phone has seemed too tiring. I can
afford one (thanks for the suggestion of taking up a collection), it's just getting to the phone store.
.
.
Sorry again. Kali and I are gonna work out a better Mom plan.
.

.
(edit to add) I had been out-and-about on Friday and spent a LOT of time online and on DU -- for some
reason, I thought that it had been Saturday that I had last posted. Sorry again, all -- and thanks for
the concern.

... grocery delivery. They'll shop for you and for a nominal delivery charge (anywhere from free
to $12.95), they'll bring it to your door the next day.
.
I'm a very picky shopper and was worried that they'd pick out stale crap -- but so far, I've
been IMPRESSED with the produce, meats and baked goods they've pick out.
.
Other cities have smaller markete that have this service -- try Googling for "grocery delivery (yourtown)".
.
My GF in Atlanta had this done from a locally-owned market.
.
Some places will shop for you, but will only bring it to your car in their lot --- but you save all
that shopping hassle... if you don't like shopping (I LOVE it).

And that you now have plans to get a phone. You know what that means, doncha?

We can have regular phone calls!

Seriously sweetie, I'm continually impressed at how well you know your condition and how you can figure out the difference between ambulance time and fixing it with a good, long pee. Ah, if only things were always that simple.

I'm sure they were ready to pay to send you home by the time you escaped.

Glad to hear you are OK. Did you check with the doctor about increasing the diuretic? You made need to add some supplements to replace what is lost with that stuff.

Been dealing with family health issues myself - both Mom & Dad were put into the hospital last week. Mom's home now, Dad will go to a rehabilitation hospital for recovery. They're doing OK considering they are both in their 90s.

The body flushes it out quickly, though. The doc and I pre-discussed the need to temporarily up the
diuretic level if I felt it would do some good.

Thanks for the vibes. I think they will need them. They've been living independently until now. I think the loss of their independence and privacy is going to wear them down more than just their age.
