What was the name of the sci fi movie who had an Asian heroine?

Dynamite movie. If I remember, she was assigned a high risk search and rescue that took her into an underground facility. She had a terminal illness of some kind, which is why she was given the assignment. Throughout the movie she bumped into characters who were not who they seemed. The scene that everyone will remember was when she was running away from a monster. To avoid him, she had to dive into a vertical chasm.
