They didn't have ANYTHING as cool as this when I was young.

This a 48 hour loop of the sun's current activity, updated with a new frame every 30 minutes.

Just getting a handle on the fact that nebula were actually galaxies

I still remember at summer camp going rounds with a proto-fundie about manned expeditions to the moon in our life time. If he's still around, I'm sure he's convinced it's all fake.

A little unsettling that the closest star is only 93 million miles away which in cosmic terms is absolutely nothing.
