We had a diff version of DU back in the day... I swear I had more posts on the old forum than that.

I changed my handle when the new DU went up.

But I've actually never posted much more than you have.

I know I didn't have my password memorized or written down during the changeover, and since the site assigns them and doesn't let you change, I had to generate the new ID.

I've been in other sites, but I was avoiding DU till I found the lounge.

GD terrified me and still does!

Since I let a lot of things slide, and I just don't feel as strongly as some, and even when I do, I tend to look at it from a distance.
So, it tends to leave me with little to say.

I'll bet you've been all over the world by now.

I have been many places since graduating high school, though these days I'm recovering from a kidney transplant at home in Brooklyn. Not so small town anymore heh?

I'm still here. Not many of us 2001-ers left. I can't believe you're 27! Where did the time go?

For me, it's been nearly one-third of my life. A lot has happened since that day in March, 2001 that I found this place, and discovered a glimmer of hope amidst the sorrow of a stolen election and the horror of an astoundingly unqualified President. Back then, none of us knew how bad it soon was going to get.

But we made it. We're well into the second term of a President who will remembered as one of the greats. And I'm still here...

It really feels like forever ago that I discovered this place. We have made it through but I can't say I'm much of an Obama gal these days, truthfully. Of course I am still on the left side of the equation, but it's all gotten a bit confusing trusting anybody to do the right thing.

you might at least draw comfort from the fact that at least he is qualified to not do right by the American people.

If it's one thing I can't stand, it's someone without the proper credentials...
