Anyone up for a WKRP reunion?

https://tv.yahoo.com/photos/wkrp-in-cincinnati-reunion-1401986283-slideshow/

To mark the 35th anniversary of WKRP in Cincinnati, Loni Anderson and fellow co-stars Tim Reid (who played smooth, late-night DJ Venus Flytrap), Jan Smithers (radio station assistant Bailey Quarters), and Howard Hesseman (troublemaking DJ Dr. Fever) posed for a reunion shot at the June 4 Paley event. Who was missing from the reunion? Gary Sandy (who played program director Andy Travis), Richard Sanders (bow-tied news reporter Les Nessman), and Frank Bonner (ad exec Herb Tarlek). Sadly, Gordon Jump, who played beloved bumbling general manager Arthur Carlson on the series, died in 2003. As for a bona fide small-screen reunion, the cast said that without Jump, it would never be the same.

Wow! Howard Hesseman looks like George Carlin! Carlin biopic, anyone? And Loni Anderson (who shares my birthday ) will soon join my mom as a quite lovely septuagenarian.

All I ever heard it called was the graveyard shift. I did a LOT of graveyards on WYBC in New Haven back in the day.

You are correct about the music licensing issue. Les Nessman trying on the rug he bought from one of the station's sponsors just isn't the same without Foreigner's "Hot Blooded". Jennifer gently lifting it off his head, however, is still classic.

I worked midnight to 6am six days a week as a 16 year old. It kind of put a damper on my social life that summer.

I watch it on YOUtUBE every year with fond, if poignant memories.

Too bad the two remaining living actors didn't join in...

I knowza guy who once sold a washer/dryer set to the Big Guy (Gordon Jump).

When I was a young radio announcer at the same time as WKRP, most of the annoucers started calling our GM 'big guy'.

Bailey Quarters can have all my stuff. It wouldn't take much more than a small U-Haul trailer to get all of it.
