Favorite Wes Anderson Movie

I love this movies and Fantastic Mr Fox is one of my favorite (for once a Roald Dahl move done right!). George Clooney was perfectly cast as the lead of Fantastic Mr Fox (with Meryl Streep as his wife).

I can't wait to see Grand Budapest Hotel and I also love Darjeeling Express.

What is your favorite Wes Anderson movie and why?

And while you are contemplating your vote you can enjoy this amazing video of an SNL spoof on a Wes Anderson movie. What's funny is that Ed Norton (who has been in WA movies) does a spot on mimic of Owen Wilson

Because number one is it is animated and number two it was the film where I learned to let go and accept Wes Anderson movies for the movies they were instead of the movies I wanted them to be.

And although there was extra added to the movie that was not in the book, I think what was added enhanced the book quite nicely.

Tim Burton ALMOST did a movie that was true to "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" but I was not happy with how he had to add in about Willy Wonka's father. I would have rather seen Burton end it in a way that he could do the sequal for "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" (I am like Roald Dahl, we both hated Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory). CATCF was a long enough book that it really didn't need any extra added (although I liked the updated versions they did for Violet Beauregarde and Mike TeeVee giving them 21st century issues). FMF was a much shorted book and probably wouldn't have had enough material if Anderson didn't add a bit to it. What he added worked with the purpose of the book perfectly!

the Tim Burton film was not near as good - I'm not interested that it was true to the book - The original movie was way more entertaining
Johnny Depp was no Gene Wilder
