This sank like a stone (with one comment) in GD. But this young woman is remarkable.

Amongst all the general bitching in GD, her story held no interest, which amazes me. This isn't really a Lounge topic, but maybe she will get better treatment here, amid my friends.

GD thread:
What a remarkable young woman: she adopted 40 children, opened a school, and helped women empower
themselves in Nepal:

Maggie Doyne looks tired. But you would too if you had 40 children.

And they are all late to bed tonight.

Doyne, 26, is the founder of the Kopila Valley Children’s Home and School in Nepal and creator of the BlinkNow Foundation. She has legal custody of the 40 children, who live full time in the home. An additional 340 kids are currently enrolled in the school. And in June she opened a women’s center at Kopila Valley.

I've sent this great story to my friends who have been to Nepal and are trying to support good people like Doyne.

I passed it on to the Clinton Foundation. They love people with initiative doing things like this.
