and lots of blinking lights. Oh ... and we had to go find the trucks we were supposed to escort today. Sigh. When the driver got a route change he should have told someone. But no. I saw the load passing under us. Five (angry) phone calls and 40 miles away we finally got the convoy together.
Not bad for Charlie and me, we got paid for 4 hours of waiting time plus full pay for the (shorter) job.

Now back to the nipple alert: I can understand why someone at work might be upset about the missing NSFW warning.

My teeth and eyeballs would be floating after a 9 hour wait.

There was a 20 mile backup eastbound on I-84 around 9AM. Firetrucks and state troopers everywhere due to a pickup truck fire. Later on the accident causing a major backup was westbound between exits 17 and 16.

We had a successful day ... no tickets or damages getting from Pa to Ct.

A man abandoned his car and jumped from the George Washington Bridge early Thursday, authorities said.

A witness told investigators the man parked a sedan on the westbound lanes, climbed over two railings and plunged off the span around 2 a.m., according to Port Authority police spokesman Joe Pentangelo.

Authorities were searching for the man’s body, the spokesman added.

The jump happened at nearly the same time emergency crews were called to a fatal tractor-trailer wreck, also on the bridge’s upper level.

That means a lot of extra detour miles for trucks. Also heavy traffic on roads like route 6 in Pa.
