The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support Forumsmy ma could really use some of those patented lounge vibes
she's been dealing with some major health issues and is now facing two big surgeries. she holding up the best she can and i'm giving her the best support i can, but she's nearly 900 miles away and i'm feeling a bit helpless because there's nothing i can do for her right now.
i'm going to try to get out there for one of the surgeries, but that's only if we can scrape together the money.
so if you all could send some of that lounge love to the quad cities area, you know i'll appreciate it.

(15,800 posts)and empathetic thoughts. My mom is also far away, it isn't easy. At 94 she tends to the stubborn, which can exacerbate just about everything. Three years ago, when the doc told her that using a walker would ease some of the pain in her knees she balked because using the thing would make her look old; I reminded her that I got my first walker at 42, and would be glad to bring it so we could have races in the hallway.
Best to you, Fizzgig. Keep us posted.
