Animal shelters/rescues should team up with Goodwill

If you adopt a cat or dog with white fur, you can immediately drop off all your dark clothes in the goodwill bin since you can never wear them again. Likewise if you adopt an animal with dark fur, conveniently drop off your white clothes to goodwill.

Everybody wins.

one who is about 2/3 white and 1/3 orange, and one who is a dark gray/brown tabby.

There is fur to contrast with every outfit. Using the OP's logic, I should have to donate all of my clothes to Goodwill and walk around naked. Believe me, nobody wants that to happen.

I have one cat that is white with gray stripes and just a tiny bit of brown and the other cat is totally black. I'm screwed no matter the season.

pure white belly and then almost tortoiseshell on her back, yet it's the white fur that ends up on everything.
