His timing was way off in that Ellen clip, but I suspect when he is older he'll be great. passiveporcupine Jun 2014 #13

Your headline on this thread certainly is inaccurate.

Imagine how well this child will be able to perform once he can reach the pedals and change the volume in his efforts.

Agreed - very good though. Better control of the pedals will help him, but so will larger hands, as now he does not hit every note correctly.

If he sticks with it he could be the best there ever was. He can hit the notes exactly how he wants to, now he needs to learn to interpret the work.

the kid is amazing and if he keeps it up he will be a great treasure to humanity. Not that he isn't really cute now.

And although the kid is good, I used the quotes because I was understating my estimation.

His expressions and body movement make it fun to watch.

Enjoying what he's doing will take him a long way.

After I posted this I saw he's like 8 or 9 by now. Just another old, burned out rock star.

Sugar Chile Robinson came on the scene in the 1940's. He even played for President Truman in 1946.

introduction to the genius of Mr. Robinson. I'll add this to my memories of Detroit's contribution to jazz.

How do you teach that? Must be a different process altogether, more like just stimulating it here and there.

I like that he grins when he looks at Dad. Now if that can stay, too, then job well done.
