Delaware's Firefly Music Festival - A splendid time was had by all......

The Family took a vacation last week to the lovely Delaware Beaches, specifically Dewey Beach. My Wife and I took turns taking our Teenaged kids to The Firefly Festival in Dover, DE. Our 7 year old missed out this year, but we'll be bringing her to future festivals as well.

The music was wonderful and I suggest you go if you think all the music today sucks or other such blather.

The crowd was devoid of annoying drunks - really.

There were places you could go for relative quiet.

The food was very good and there was a great variety.

Camelback refilled water for free.

There were many many recharging stations and coverage was better than I would have expected but still a little spotty.

Because Delaware doesn't have sales tax, something that costs 9 dollars actually costs 9 dollars - vastly reducing loose change.

The porta potties were damned near odor free and none of us had to wait for an open one.

Weed smells like it's indeed a lot better than it used to be........

Traffic was bearable, parking was fine.

It took remarkably little time to get past security and into the festival.

The thing sure looked well managed for sure.

There is a LOT of dust though, bring a bandana and be careful cleaning your glasses.........
