OMG what the hell was that?

I got SLAMMED by some kind of 24 hour THING. Felt like I had spent half a day in a cement mixer. everything HURT - joints, muscles, eyeballs, even my hair.

today just feels like a bad cold or something but yesterday...owwwww

There is a new mosquito-borne flu like virus making inroads to the U.S.

But it just seems to be some kind of achy cold/flu thing I think. My sister and her SO both had it over the last couple weeks, pretty sure I got it from HIM. Nobody has been anywhere near the Caribbean, that is for sure. Or even east of the AZ NM line.

seems to take a few days to a week, going by family with the worst in the first couple days.

it really isn't flu season is it? but yeah didn't get one last fall/winter (lazy and fairly healthy)

I was too sick to get dressed and drive to town so I didn't go. Ate a lot of aspirin and drank a ton of ice water.

but I've been hit before in the summer and it's godawful

I'm still on the fence re flu shots, but I trust my doctor and she recommends them.
So far (knock wood) I haven't had flu, but it's impossible to know if I would have had I not gotten a shot.
