I can't give you my job, but I'd be happy to lend it to someone for this week.

Today, I had breakfast and dinner in Germany. I had lunch in France and afternoon coffee in Belgium. Tomorrow I have to be in Utrecht, Netherlands. Wednesday morning I need to be in Geneva, but I have to be back in northern Germany that afternoon because it's my wife's birthday. Thursday I have to run back over to Brussels, and I need to be in Spain all day Friday. It's NOT glamourous, it's not James Bond exciting, and it's NOT relaxing. You do NOT get to "see the sights." You go where you're sent. The food is pretty good, I gotta admit.

I'm already tired. I'll gladly fork over my pay for this week for someone to do the work and let me hide in bed.

Only requirements: you have to speak the language of everywhere you go. French in France, Dutch in Belgium and Holland, French again in Switzerland (Geneva is French-speaking), and Catalan in Spain (Barcelona only), as I have nothing to do in the Spanish-speaking parts of Spain this week.

Any takers, please apply. The pay is as ridiculous as the requirements, if that's any consolation when your energy (and probably your heart) gives out.

I miss that corner of the world. I was only there a couple of weeks back in my past life, but damn it was fun. There was a bakery across the street a bit from the Intercontinental in Koln that was so yummy. If you find yourself in Rotterdam try to find a restaurant called The 12 Heron (or some weird translation of that). Down the street at the tram stop there is a quirky Ratpack themed bar.

I'll take your job for a week. My toddler is out of school and driving me mad.

sufficient to just repeat English words really loudly and slowly? Maybe with an -o or an -a tacked onto the end when in Spain or Italy? 'Cause I can totally do that...
