The Dynamic Duo

Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery. Death March, aka '13', is one of my all time favorite tunes from one of my all time favorite collaborations. It has perhaps one of the most silly and inexplicably cool album covers. Its swanky, (perhaps sleazy or cheesy) and it is so righteous to hear a big band backing two soul-jazz brothers. Perfect soundtrack for hot, humid summer nights and some cold beers.
