The Newsroom

I really disliked it the first seasons. It was hard to take the characters seriously. Especially the women, with all their naval gazing. Even though the critics loved it.

But this year the critics hate it and I like it. And today's episode was really nice. Loved Katie Boeck singing Ave Maria.

They've gotten back to showing what it's like to report the news and the main storyline is very compelling. I've even watched some repeats because I missed things, and I rarely do that, but I always catch a few more details. Glad to hear my fellow DUers are watching, have seen very little posted about it here. I'm just bummed that this is the last season and it's going to be over so quickly...

because the female characters made me want to kill myself. Only made it through the first part of season 2 by hate watching.

But maybe I'll give season 3 a try.

Season 2. Sorkin's apology for The Newsroom was a disappointment. What is it with Liberal's constantly feeling like they need to apologize?

I wanted The Newsroom be to MSM what The White House was to the Presidency. I decided to drop HBO but am cat/house sitting at Christmas time for a friend. If is is still available on Demand I may watch it then.

I stuck with it though --mostly because of Will-- and I think this is the best season yet. I can almost stand MacKenzie and Maggie now. (Maggie has really improved.) I agree, the women have been the characters I liked least.

I absolutely love Charlie Skinner.

Pruit who is going to buy the network with his ideas of who and what to run: this is already here.

One has to come to DU LBN, or to search other news sites, or to read newspapers like NYT and WP to know what is happening in the world and in our country. CNN takes a topic and bash it to death.
