(332 posts)Merry Xmas to you also...........
They actually each had a hat but it was not easy to get all of them to wear them and be still enough for the photo.
It is from years back when I was breeding corgis and was my first litter, they were only about 4 weeks old at the time.

(8,554 posts)One year when my daughter was very young, one of our kitties gave birth to six in early Fall, so when Hanukkah rolled around, my little one insisted that our eight cats do the honors of the lighting. She became very involved in that schedule, made a chart so that each kitten would be sure to have their turn, and we almost set the house on fire, twice. It was so sweet, tho. My old Nicky kitty burned his whiskers off that week...was always fascinated by candles and we never could leave them unguarded for the seventeen years of his life.
Is that your fur baby who passed away? That is a beautiful moment.

(53,921 posts)Tony, the cat, passed away in June. He had been with my partner, now husband, and I throughout our entire relationship. He was my husband's cat, but somewhere along the line, became mine. We were all with him when he took his last breath, at home. My two smallest dogs kept looking for him for almost 3 months after he passed. Talk about heart wrenching.
I loved your story. It made me cry happy tears. I like those kind of tears, so thank you.

(8,554 posts)Our dear old "wild" cat died this year, too, at the end of July. Our only remaining kitty, her "sister" who originally came from the very same woods behind our house (they used to hate each other and had awful fights when they lived back there), still gets up at night and walks, calling. She's also taken to crawling right up into our faces when we hold her and settling across a shoulder, as tho she can't get close enough. It breaks my heart to see her so lonely and feel such sadness in our home.
Hugs to you and yours this holiday season, you're a good daddy to your kids!
