Obviously, cats do not comprehend the concept of productivity in the work place.

My kitteh was ignoring me for an entire 24 hours. I couldn't understand it. I have a sore elbow. I had been applying the pain relieving liniment "Heat". That was it. He wasn't avoiding me, he was avoiding the Heat. I had to quit the Heat anyway because it was causing me to have terrible heartburn.

I work at home with cats., and can attest to the accuracy of the portrayal in the OP. Yes, they steal your comfy chair and you end up typing from a standing position or from a metal folding chair. They express NO appreciation for this, either.
And yes, the touch screen is their new toy. They sit in front of the screen and paw away until you are so far removed from the site you were on that you have to start over.
Get on the phone? Oh nooooooooooooooo. They will climb on your chest between you and the phone and there you are talking into a ball of fur that will wait you out until you hang the hell up.
