(21,691 posts)"It's as different as any album by the same band can be, and I think it's a progression from the last one. I think there's been a progression on every album and I think we've done it again. It's a strange mixture of songs. There's one about divorce, a song about schizophrenia, a song about wanting to rule the world, the inevitable money song, and an instrumental."
So it's either the one about divorce or schizophrenia.
(I know the album before it, The Original Soundtrack, better)

(7,343 posts)stalker, murderer, serial killer, who knows for sure, done in a very jazzy upbeat style that leaves you feeling kinda uneasy...at least me!
But that's why they're a great band... marvelous originality with a deeply sardonic sense of humor.
I love this song also from "How Dare You"-

(11,833 posts)that 10cc was the average amount of male ejaculate. Not sure if it's been debunked or not by band members. I think they've played it coy. Sometimes fueling those rumors, other times denying them.
Artists & bands love playing around with references like that. It's an old tradition going back to the blues and rhythm & blues. For example, the great Willie Dixon song Spoonful, done here by Howling' Wolf. 'Could be a spoonful of coffee. Could be a spoonful of tea.' It could also be about sex. It could be about heroin or cough syrup. Could be about temptation. 'Some of 'em lie about that spoonful, some of 'em die about that spoonful.'
Rock & roll & pop music is so full of double entendres. Most pop music and many great songs can be interpreted as about sex. Like Christina Aguilera's Genie in a Bottle. 'I'm a genie in a bottle, you gotta rub me the right way.' Works as a great pop song with a literal or a sexual interpretation.

I love how art and pop culture play on this kind of stuff. It's fun!
