Michael White, producer of Rocky Horror and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, dies aged 80
Not as big as the death of George Martin, but still a part of the 20th century's culture:
Michael White, the Scottish producer behind The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, has died at the age of 80.
...
The legendary producer began his career in London's West End producing plays including Oh Calcutta!, Annie and The Rocky Horror Picture Show before moving into films and television.
He is famous for his work on The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jabberwocky, My Dinner with Andre, The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Comic Strip Presents.
He won a plethora of awards during his career including two Tony Awards and a Laurence Olivier Award.

Producing Holy Grail wasn't a straightforward job - a very tight budget (surely you can't tell????), and arguments with the censors like this:
As someone who was far too young to ever get into a 'AA' (14 and over) film at the time, but who got to see it in the cinema as an 'A' (and my introduction to Monty Python), I am forever grateful to those who snuck it in that classification. His mother did not smell of elderberries, and I would never fart in his general direction.
