Weird military-style dream last night.

I dreamed I was helping out with a celebration banquet for our military grunts, that was put on by the military brass. Everything was formal, with soldiers in formation while the head honcho praised them for their service. I was standing near the banquet table. It was one of those brown fold-out tables that everyone uses. And then, when it came time to eat, someone came out and unloaded a brown sack on the table. Out falls a pile of peppermint candies. The men and women then lined up to get one a piece. They seemed happy to get that much.

The rest of the dream was just a growing discomfort that something was really out of whack, even though nobody else seemed to complain.
