What Vince, Peter, Bob and the entire team have accomplished with Better Call Saul is truly rare and remarkable, said AMC president Charlie Collier in a statement. They have taken one of the most iconic, immersive and fan-obsessive (in the best possible way) shows in television history and created a prequel that stands on its own. Watching Jimmy McGills thoughtful, melodic and morally flexible transformation into Saul Goodman is entertaining and delighting millions of fans, whether their starting point was Breaking Bad or not. This series has its own feel, pace and sensibility and we cant wait to see what this incredibly talented group comes up with next in season three.
Better Call Saul earned seven Emmy nominations in 2015, including one for Outstanding Drama Series. Through the first four episodes of season 2, the show is averaging 4.4 million viewers, according to the network.

(60,010 posts)FWIW, it should show up on Netflix to rent/stream soon.
Well, "soon" meaning next year.
But, as we age, time goes by faster, so all's good, man.

What lousy writing!

Seriously, Michael McKean should have got an award for season one. Season two seems a little slow but I am looking forward to the inevitable end of Jimmy and the beginning of Saul.

(22,340 posts)We are starting to see how Mike eventually gets to Gus, and we are starting to find out who Jimmy really is. And he's kind of lovable--warts and all.

(100,028 posts)BCS is great, and I love that we're seeing Breaking Bad characters like Tuco and Hector start to slowly trickle into BCS. Maybe we'll see Gus Fring at some point?

(60,010 posts)There are 2 tv shows that I watch each episode twice....Better Call Saul and the Good wife
because of the writing and direction.
Of the 2, Saul is much more complex. Camera shots/angles are there for a reason, color is used for a reason, as is of course dialogue.
And Saul has small easer eggs relating to Breaking Bad, which are fun to spot.
So I save the shows, and binge watch again a year or 2 later.

(4,583 posts)It is so interesting seeing a pre-stroke Don Hector in BCS. He is so diminished in BB, but just as lethal.
