Since I live in Central Florida, no surprise that my top two were purchased from the theme parks.
From Universal, the Deathly Hollow cup depicting the symbols needed to defeat death: The cape of invisibility, the wand and the stone. Though, I would update that to the muggle version which would be the mighty pen for the wand; invisibility from a pen name for the cape; and immortality through writing, for the stone.
From Disneyland, a cup that reminds me of the rabbit hole we all live in today.

(35,015 posts)It's a creation of Daniel Johnston, a cartoonist and music icon from the 80's who lived in Houston and San Marcos. Johnston made tapes of his music and this was one of the covers....it's also painted on a wall near UT. It's been there a long time and a part of Austin folklore although I'm not sure the kids have a clue about it exactly. He's still out there doing stuff and there's a documentary about him made about 10 years ago.

(36,383 posts)"Stein" is an abbreviation of German Steinzeug "stoneware", the common material for beer mugs before the introduction of glass.
Here's my stein I purchased in Germany many, many years ago. For years I used it as a coffee mug until I retired it to guarding my paintbrushes.

(33,475 posts)I only use it on the weekends, and only when I have my favorite types of coffee.
It's wonderful to drink from it, read and relax and sometimes to think about the equations on it.

(5,310 posts)...limited edition (#73 of 250) teacup and saucer by Ron English.
Next is my 1969 Nixon/Agnew elephant cup, which I inherited from my late stepfather. Needless to say, he was a Repug.
I have this German "hand mug" from a thrift shop in Pasadena CA.
And my favorite, a "Hillbilly" beer stein produced by the Du Bro Studios in 1954, which I found in the same thrift shop as the "hand mug" above.
