I'm not saying my cat naps a lot, but I sometimes check to see if she's breathing.

She been door-dashing a lot. Finally, last night while it was raining, I let her go for it. She ran back in in about five seconds, having thought better of it. The one time I didn't have to run down the alley trying to catch her. Ha. She then spent about 20 minutes atop her cat tree grooming herself, obviously pissed.
