is that in '68 I was just getting into radical politics and still didn't know a lot, so this epic opportunity was just one of those "world news" noises on the outskirts of my consciousness. Yes, I knew something big was going on in France, but I didn't really know what. As a 17 year old HS kid, I was more worried about Vietnam and my personal prospects for the draft and my potential response to it. I wish I had been a little more aware.
