I set out to practice using a manual lens for street photography. I had my Tokina EL28 attached and I was ready to rumble. My target was the fountain downtown. On the way I came upon the end of a skateboarding competition. That was real luck because there was a Tee Shirt toss at one of the bowls. When I got downtown, the fountains were off, and downtown abandoned. Plan B was Gratz Park.
I nailed focus more often than not. F8 and F11 helped in that regard. Good enough for now. So here are my images:

(60,071 posts)like manual focus at times. It makes me more deliberate.

(9,314 posts)It depends on which lens I'm using and how my eyesight is on that particular day. Ibuprofen can sometimes blur my vision a bit so I don't trust them on those days.

(60,071 posts)Move up to the Olympus VF4 EVF. I have the VF3, but I think I could use the superior resolution.
