Related: About this forumThank you all, my dear photographer friends
It is (almost was) my birthday today and it looks like I may have won a very coveted spot in the June contest. I'm saying thank you now because in three hours I am heading out of here into an area where I may not have Internet.
So, dear friends, don't miss me too much because I will be back in a couple of weeks or so.
I am taking my camera.

(22,380 posts)Over the weekend I made a film, a seven minute film. It was a film for the 48hour movie project.
The person whose idea it
was, and who assembled the seven-member crew, had Camera failure. So I had to jump in and film that entire thing with my Sony Alpha 65.
Our film was shown in Greensboro tonight. We got a very good reception, it was a dark comedy, and the audience really really laughed.
Maybe I can figure out a way to post it when I come back in a couple of weeks.

Costa Rica! At one time, some years ago, we were building a house in Panama --Bocas del Toro area up
near the border with Costa Rica--but it got all bogged down with poor financial management on the part
of the developer. Anyway, one of the most right wing 'friends' I have on fb who puts up position papers
all the time hating on Obama, is an ex pat living in Panama. I can understand how folks like that could
make what your friends would hope to be a peaceful place to live a place they'd want to leave. But, if
they are going back to Sarasota, aren't they going to be pretty much in the same boat?
