apple to abandon aperture

over the weekend apple announced that they will be abandoning apertue development. supposedly they are working with adobe for some method of switching to lightroom for aperture users.
they are also getting rid of iphoto
both iphoto and aperture will be replaced by apples new photo app in ox 10.10

i started switching to lightroom about a month ago. now i just need a method to transfer my aperture library to lightroom without loosing all the edits

does it have an "Edit in" with edits? It would be a long way around transferring your photos but it might be better than nothing.

Have you seen this:

im hoping for an automatic way to do it since my aperture library is huge (1.5TB) i suspect that adobe will have some kind of script that will make the transfer easier

Adobe is pretty good about things like that. Are you subscribed to the $9.99 a month Lightroom/Photoshop combo?

I have PhotoShop CS5, but I went with the $9.99 special for the newest PhotoShop and Lightroom. There's already been one fairly big upgrade in Lightroom. Do you get the Lightroom updates automatically?
