Went to the Long Beach aquarium during Thanksgiving break.
A few weeks back Tom Kitten posted some nice shots of jellyfish he took at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. My oldest daughter lives about 20 miles from there, and as we were spending Thanksgiving week at her place I looked forward to a chance to check the place out.
The aquarium is not large but it is very well done. However; I should have remembered that 20 miles distance doesn't mean 45 minutes drive time in the LA area, especially during the commute...
Wish I could see what others see on their monitors. I do my editing on the computer hooked into a flat screen HDTV, with the image set to "Computer." The colors are brighter and more saturated than on my laptop, but my laptop is a cheap one, so...

It's been years since we've been there but I remember it as being a great trip.
Plus, it's in Monterey.
Thanks again for turning us on to the Long Beach aquarium. Those jelly fish tanks were amazing.
We also took some shots at the USS Iowa battleship museum. We just looked at it from the dock. Next time we go down we'll take the tour, and also go over to the Ft. Drum Civil War museum.
That drive from Irvine to Long Beach (during the commute traffic) was a real bear...
